Chris Naivar, Director of Quality and Regulatory

SpineSmith Partners welcomes Chris Naivar to the team as Director of Quality and Regulatory. He has 25 years experience in quality, regulatory, and manufacturing with experience in medical devices, aerospace, and heavy industrial. Most of his work experience has been on the job, starting when he was 17, as the janitor in the same machine shop that his father and grandfather both worked.

During the same time, he attended the University of Texas at Austin and majored in Chemical Engineering. He has worked as a manufacturing engineer, quality manager, and general manager. 11 years ago, he was the original quality engineer for Spinal Concepts when it was a startup. Since then, Spinal Concepts was purchased by Abbott and then Zimmer before Naivar left in December to come to SpineSmith.
