Brian Burkinshaw, Executive Vice President of Research and Development - Devices

Brian Burkinshaw joined Spinesmith Partners, LP in June of 2010 as the Vice President of Research and Development – Devices. Brian has over 30 years of experience in multiple medical device markets as a design engineer and in senior executive positions. Brian’s experience includes the evaluation and development of technologies for venture capital investment, medical device design and development, project management, business development, product commercialization, patent prosecution, and operations.

Brian’s background in medical devices and experience in biologics provides Spinesmith with the experience to continue merging the two fields. Brian will work closely with the scientific team, clinicians, and the engineering team to develop products and systems for regenerative medicine and cell therapy applications.
